Nurse Practitioners and Physicians’ Assistants

Our office has been fortunate to include advance practice clinicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants,  as part of our healthcare team. Both nurse practitioners and physician assistants have advanced degrees. Physician assistants train alongside medical students in many of the same medical school classes. Nurse practitioners complete advanced curriculum and earn a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Both are educated to provide health promotion and diagnose and treat acute and chronic health problems.

When you schedule an appointment to be seen at The Village Medical Centers you may be offered an appointment with a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. The choice of seeing a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant will be yours.  Should you prefer to be seen by a physician rather than a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, please inform our staff of this when scheduling your appointment.  By being flexible, you may be able to be seen at a more convenient time for you.

When you choose to be seen by a physician assistant or nurse practitioner, a physician will be available for consultation should they have a question.

Having worked closely with physician assistants and nurse practitioners in this office as well as other health care settings in the past and having hand selected these advance practice clinicians  who work at The Village Medical Centers, we are confident that you will be pleased with the services you receive from our healthcare team.
