Waiting area has been spaced out to ensure social distancing.

Waiting area is being thoroughly sanitized every hour.

All staff are wearing masks at all times.Every exam room is being sanitized after every patient.

Providers and nursing staff are in full PPE testing potential COVID-19 patients in their cars to prevent any exposure in the office.

During this unprecedented time, your health matters. From routine follow-up, re check medications, annual wellness visits to minor injury and illness, Village Medical Center is offering Virtual Visits.

Skip the trip and connect with your preferred doctor virtually from the comfort of your home or office.

Virtual visits are covered by most major insurances and cost the same amount as an in-office visit.

Even though these are uncertain times, Village Medical Center remains constant and will be here for you and your family’s medical needs.

Coronavirus

Dear Village Medical Center Family,

As our patient, your well-being is our highest priority. We have been closely monitoring the respiratory illness caused by a new Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to update you with the measures we have taken to prepare our office.

We are currently screening our patients with fever and respiratory symptoms for high risk travel and/or possible COVID-19 exposure and are scheduling those patients for virtual visits out of an abundance of precaution.

We ask that if you have fever and/or cough/shortness of breath, or have recently traveled to an area with an active COVID-19 outbreak or have been exposed to someone with COVID 19 or suspected to have COVID-19, please contact the office before coming in so we can schedule you for a virtual visit.

We are also glad to schedule a virtual visit to discuss if you have questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 that you want to discuss with your provider even if you are currently well.

Most insurances, including Medicare and Aetna, are now covering virtual visits.

At this time, we are also asking all our patients with a cough, even without history of travel or known exposure, to wear a mask when in the office for the protection of our more at-risk patients. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

A list of frequently asked questions can be found here. This information is per the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). We recommend following their website for updated information about this evolving situation.

We recommend continuing everyday prevention to stop the spread of germs (wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).

Beginning Tuesday, March 24th, we will be offering Well Hour appointments between 7AM – 11AM. During this time, no sick visits (cough, fever, etc.) will be scheduled. This will be an opportunity for our chronic care patients to have labs drawn and to see their provider without concern of exposure. If you are unable to be seen during our Well Hours, we can see you virtually at another time for most appointments other than annual physicals.

If you have any other questions, please contact our office.

Best of Health,

Sport / Camp Physical Exam Appointments Available

Has your child signed up to play a sport this season, or attend a camp this summer? If so, don’t forget to get a physical exam!

Many schools, camps, and community organizations require pre-participation exams, and Village Medical Center is here to help. Sport and camp physical exams are important because they can help find health problems that could stop your child from competing safely or participating in camp activities.

The appointment takes approximately 15-20 minutes and covers the basics of your child’s current health status, with a focus on height, weight, vision, hearing, heart health, blood pressure, strength, flexibility, coordination, and reflexes.

If needed, our providers may also give immunizations and discuss topics like nutrition, exercise, sleep, and social behavior.

Plan on getting your child a sports physical at least six to eight weeks before the season starts. The physical is usually good for one year.

We’ve served children and their families in The Woodlands since 1985 and are committed to keeping our patients healthy both on and off the field.

Schedule your appointment online, or call our office at 281-292-1191.
